Halswell splits into two. Usually yes. Our 1T Kubota digger goes down to 750mm - narrower than most residential side gates. We check access on the site visit before quoting, so there are no surprises on the day the digger turns up. Halswell's older established streets come up regularly - we know what to look for.

Most residential decks run two to four weeks on-site once materials arrive. A full outdoor build - deck, pergola and fence together - is typically four to six weeks. We confirm the timeline when we quote, not after we've started.
Decks over 1.5m off the ground need a building consent under Christchurch City Council rules. Most ground-level decks don't. We'll tell you exactly which category your build falls into on the site visit - and if a consent is needed, we handle the drawings, submission and council inspections ourselves rather than leave it with you.
Depends on the section and how you'll use it. Kwila suits most north-facing, visible decks - deep grain, holds its colour well with an annual oil. Composite suits pool surrounds, rentals, or any deck that won't get regular maintenance. We'll give you a clear recommendation on the site visit based on your specific section - not a sales pitch for the more expensive option.
